On the occasion of International Women's Rights Day, we look back at the evolution of the bicycle since its appearance through the prism of women on bicycles!

A slow but emancipating evolution for Parisian women first, and then for all French women. Cycling has allowed them to break free from certain codes and to be freer.

The evolution of cycling has been slow but emancipating for Parisian women at first, then for all French women.

As you will have realised, women have been emancipated in part by the bicycle and the use they have made of it. If today the number of women on bikes is exploding at the same time as cycle tracks are multiplying across France, can we expect perfect parity on our bikes soon? We hope so!
