The history of the brand

Basil is a brand that intends to "spread the joy of cycling" as it likes to say since 1976. It offers bicycle accessories that are both functional and original to combine the useful and the pleasant during your trips. Accessorising your bike with a Basil item is the best way to opt for a chic, urban look, but also to get around more easily, whether you are shopping or going to the office, for example.

At JE SUIS À VÉLO, we fell in love with Basil's basket-type storage systems. For example, there is the removable Bremen front basket. The handlebar holder is easy to attach and allows the basket to be clipped in or out as required. So on days when you don't want to add it to your bike, you can simply remove it. It can also be a way of moving your shopping around more easily by unclipping the basket and carrying it by its handle to your home for example. It is light in weight but can hold up to 22 litres and a maximum load of 5kg. It is a real daily ally for cyclists who are used to doing their shopping by bike.

More classic, but also more elegant, is the Darcy Rattan front basket. When you think of a bicycle basket, you typically think of this lovely model. Its vintage look will give the frame a whole new look while still having the capacity to carry up to 35 litres. The basket is easily attached with leather straps that can be easily undone if necessary. The basket can carry up to 5kg on the handlebars, but can carry even more with a luggage rack attachment.
