The history of the brand

In 1938, the Cairn brand was born in France, with the aim of protecting people involved in various sports such as skiing, running or even cycling. Thanks to its particular know-how, Cairn quickly became the reference for technical and innovative products. The Lyon-based family business started with warm and comfortable gloves and clothing, while guaranteeing protection to its users.  

If the Alps inspired Cairn, it was Nepal that allowed the brand to surpass itself with its extreme conditions. From now on, the equipment must be adaptable to all conditions without ever forgetting safety. Cairn has become a leader in winter sports protection and in 2018 it chose to launch itself into cyclist protection with a wide range of products. It is no longer just about sports, but also about urban mobility and leisure activities.
