What we think of it

A good helmet lock that is useful for securing your helmet to your bike during a race. We liked its ultra-light and rollable side which makes it easy to carry in a pocket or directly on the bike frame. A small plus that avoids having something less!

Brand History

Kryptonite is an American brand. It is credited with the invention of the U-lock system! It was first tested in 1972 in New York: for this, the brand attached a bicycle to a signpost in Greewnwich Village. The removable parts were quickly dismantled by the thieves, but the body of the bike remained intact for 30 days and 30 nights. This experience put Kryptonite on the map and launched the brand, which is now well known in the security industry. All of its models are guaranteed for life.

The brand also offers an insurance system included in its locks as well as a "Key Safe" programme: this programme allows cyclists who own Kryptonite anti-theft devices to register their keys online and benefit, in case of loss, from a free replacement of its first two keys.
